The Northern Loliondo Rangeland Management Area Tanzania (NOLORAMATA) is a community-based organization (CBO) registered under Tanzanian law in 2023. It is an organization formed by five villages of the Maasai community in northern Tanzania. The participating villages so far are Oloipiti, Lopulun, Olorien and Oldonyowas. It is the ambition to include more villages in the CBO.
NOLORAMATA helps people to take good care of the environment, improve pastures using traditional and scientific methods, fight environmental degradation and get healthy livestock. This helps individuals, households, and the community as a whole.
NOLORAMATA help preserving special cultural places that existed to worship and formalize and help the community to maintain them for the sustainability of the traditions of the Maasai, the indigenous people of northern Loldiondo.
